Manager - Consulting Finance Management Reporting

Location: Open within the continental United States, with a strong preference for location in a major office where Consulting Finance or BP&A personnel are based (Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Rosslyn, McLean, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Dallas, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh). Relocation will not be required for an internal transfer.

Consulting Finance is looking for a high-performing Manager to join Consulting's Management Reporting team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position requires minimal travel (0-10%).

Work You'll Do:

The Manager will be responsible for executing on special projects related to Finance and Operations, developing and delivering standard management reporting deliverables, and providing project management support over our standard reporting governance process.

Given Consulting's matrix structure, challenging operational and competitive landscape, and the rapid pace of evolution of our business, it is critical to provide actionable insights to our leaders in a timely manner.

This position works closely with the Office of the CEO, CFO, Consulting and Firm Finance, Talent, QRM (Quality & Risk Management), Communications Team, and other support areas as well as the leadership Chiefs of Staff who support Offering Portfolios, Industries, and Consulting National Office.

The Management Reporting Team:

The Consulting Finance Management Reporting Team is responsible for managing the development of all recurring and ad-hoc financial reporting and presentations to support Consulting's Leadership and helps maintain and govern our standard management reporting processes. Materials the team develops focus on telling the story of Consulting's financial and operational results and the drivers of those results. This includes, but is not limited to, Executive Committee presentations, Management Committee Business Performance Reviews, materials to support practice-wide townhalls and meetings.

The team also addresses short-term and long-term projects needs focused on operational analysis and improvement initiatives. This could include improving the operational processes or report design, financial system go-lives and its associated change impact on Consulting's business and finance organization, and/or other finance-oriented topics.

The team works closely with the Consulting Finance National Office Business Partners and the Reporting and Analysis Center of Excellence (R&A COE).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10 to 12 years in a professional services environment preferred
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' and apply a strategic perspective
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
  • Strong slide design and storyboarding skills
  • Ability to diagnose operational and financial drivers of performance results
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well on a virtual team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior FP&A experience a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with SAP financial systems and Tableau (optional but preferred)
  • All candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed for their clients, however, depending on staffing needs, most positions are in-office-based with limited travel required. Ability to travel up to 25%. While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
