We are connecting businesses with their field teams and their fleet of cars in our cutting-edge Verizon Connect group—improving efficiency and enhancing service levels for our business customers

Verizon Connect is looking for a Capital Allocation Planner to join our Business Operations organization. Primary purpose of the Capital Allocation Planner is to understand the operational objectives and corporate strategy and align them with the capital allocation priorities. They will monitor the performance with respect to strategies, investments and initiatives versus original projections. They will understand the parameters of, and assumptions underlying, the annual and medium term (1-5 year) operating and capital plans and budgets.

This is a hybrid position, the expectations are that you will be going into an office once a week. This position can work out of any of the main Verizon offices.

  • Support the Portfolio Manager in financial and strategic analysis

  • Review business cases and understand their financial impact to the portfolio

  • Create and deliver accurate, high-quality, thoughtfully designed reports and analyses to address operational and strategic questions

  • Responsible for executive presentations that communicate the plan to key stakeholders.

  • Provide forward-looking insights and propose recommendations

  • Participate in scenario planning and the annual planning process

You are Self-driven and proactive; able to confidently lead your portion of a work stream or project independently with limited guidance. Analytical skills to understand the current situation, opportunity and prioritization. Strong communication, synthesis, and project management skills. A "get things done" mentality. You move fast and you don’t settle for the status quo, always on the hunt for the next big thing. Adept at multitasking, with great attention to detail. You are comfortable with multiple aspects of a business, including product, operations, and strategy. You need to have financial acumen and modelling experience. You can paint a high resolution picture about what we want to accomplish over the coming years, and can shape the plan that gets us there.

What we’re looking for...

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis experience.

  • Financial Modeling experience.

  • Experience in analysis of business cases.

  • Strategic thinking and vision.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to assimilate a broad range of data, analyzing, and distinctly packaging the information to a variety of audiences, including executive management.

  • Ability to understand the corporate business strategies and apply to the business.

  • Managed projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders

  • Excellent relationship building skills that result in a strong network.

  • Ability to work effectively across operating units effectively influencing others.
