The Director of Finance is responsible for core financial functions including reporting, forecasting, business analytics, KPI development, pricing, and ad-hoc analysis.

This position leads financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and constant improvements to deliver critical financial insights. The Finance Director collaborates across the organization to manage the annual budget process, set financial goals, and monitor variances monthly. The Finance Director will also create in-depth financial models and analysis of company financial and operational metrics to evaluate and influence new and existing products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial planning and budgeting process
  • Prepare leadership for review with Optum Financial senior leadership
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Oversee the update and review of the rolling forecast, present to CFO monthly
  • Create and maintain Solutran’s 5-year financial plan
  • Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, financial measures, competitors, benchmarking, etc.
  • Manage evaluation of capital expenditures
  • Partner with accounting on month end close
  • Assist leadership with special projects to support strategic decision-making (e.g., “what if" strategic analysis, business forecasting, new product P&L projections)
  • Lead development of business / financial case for specific initiatives, capital investments and new business opportunities. Evaluate potential investments and build frameworks for measuring ROI
  • Lead pricing strategy for Solutran, including management of Solutran’s weekly pricing committee, sign-off on all pricing proposals and pricing Government EBT RFPs
  • Work closely with the business to develop, recommend, and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
  • Collaborate with sales team to demonstrate ROI of product suite for clients
  • Lead and mentor team of analysts
  • Proactively seek opportunities to automate and improve processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of work experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, investment banking, and/or corporate finance
  • 3+ years of supervisory/people management experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP, fundamental financial concepts, and procedures
  • Excellent modeling background
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage and synthesize large amounts of data
