Works with the AR Team on all levels and insurance carriers in managing AJR to maximize timely cash collections and minimize write-offs and coordinates the activities of associates across billing, reporting, collections and cash controls/applications functions. Monitors assigned staff's time and attendance, and enforces the Policy and Procedures set forth by AR Management Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving KPl's/Metrics set by Management

  • Investigates/resolves denied and short paid transactions in a timely and effective manner

  • Manages Teamwork queue to insure all accounts are worked, timely and appropriately in monthly cycle

  • Follows the department Policy and Procedures set by Management

  • Identifies key challenges driving AR, escalates to Sr. Management for resolution at a global level

  • Provides training and mentorship to staff on an on-going basis

  • Reviews and communicates monthly QA with all reps

  • Leads by example, fosters a positive and energetic work environment

  • Ability to analyze AR work queue, provide recommendations for resolution and identify billing and payment trends

  • Ability to maneuver through various billing systems and understand workflow

  • Works with the PMSI AR Manager and Collection Center associates to provide leadership and vision facilitating maximum utilization of current and future initiatives

  • Works with PMSI AR Manager and Collection Center associates exercising acute problem-solving skills to manage billing, collections, research, and/or cash applications as assigned

  • Works with business partners to develop "best practice" initiatives within the department

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 7+ years’ experience in billing and collections with a healthcare provider

  • 5+ years’ experience in billing and collections with a healthcare provider

  • 5+ years’ experience reviewing EORs

  • 5+ years’ experience appealing denied claims

  • 3+ years of experience with managing multiple account portfolios

  • 2+ years’ experience in an Ancillary Accounts Receivable Supervisory role with direct reports of 3 or more

  • Ability to pass a Federal background security clearance

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
