Job Summary:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for reconciling, verifying, recording and maintaining data on transactions level in general ledger on monthly basis. Advises operation and finance leads on found discrepancies and recommend resolution techniques. Establishes desktop procedures for all the assigned balance sheet account reconciliations. Provides data extraction support to the accounting team. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the responsibilities listed below. Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks in support of the accounting function.
  • Reconciles various balance sheet related accounts.
  • Initiates correspondence, research, and resolves balance sheet discrepancies.
  • Researches accounting inquiries from operation and finance leads.
  • Monitors benefits payments to 3rd party vendors assuring that payments are accurate and timely.
  • Prepares Interco elimination entry.
  • Updates union monthly spreadsheet.
  • Prepares Journal Entries to correct discrepancies if necessary.
  • Supports month-end close.
  • Supports external financial audit.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting.
  • Must have 0-2 years of related experience.
