Description - External Analyst II - Finance is responsible for verifying accurate billing to our customers, ensuring compliance with audit requirements, verifying proper execution of pricing initiatives, and verifying revenue variances to ensure appropriate recording of revenues. Responsibilities: This role is the lead cycle verification analyst for Kinetic retail customers and must be able to work in multiple billing systems such as CAMS and RevChain. This position will analyze invoices, revenue variances, pricing changes, and audit discrepancies for each bill cycle. A successful candidate will have a solid customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage data and use it to identify issues and support decisions. Primary responsibilities include: - Perform Retail Billing Cycle Review – analyze and verify each cycle. Cycles occur on weekdays and some weekends, so a flexible schedule is necessary. The cycle analysis includes creating reports for analysis, investigating and verifying variances, verifying bill messages and invoices formats, and recommending approval or denial to release the cycle based on a whole perspective of activities. - Ensure Adherence to SOX Requirements – including verifying both new product rates and rate changes are correct. Working with both internal and external auditors is required. - Identify Out of Balance issues on end user accounts and drive correction by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Tables Administration, IT, Marketing, and Bill Format. - Extract and analyze data (variance analysis) used to perform reporting for various stakeholders, including analysis, troubleshooting anomalies, and explanation of results. - Identify data gaps and articulate a solution that will help streamline reporting processes and improve the company’s data integrity and business intelligence. - Work on special projects and requests as required. Qualifications: - Proven analytical and problem-solving skillset - Data management skillset, including proficiency with MS Excel and ACCESS. SQL writing is preferred but not required - Ability to quickly learn new systems - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and develop productive relationships with cross-functional departments - Attention to detail and ability to decipher, explain and document complex processes for various stakeholder interests - Strong understanding of telecom industry products and solutions, including knowledge of inner workings of retail billing, provisioning, and CRM systems preferred Qualifications - External Minimum Requirements: College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or 7+ years professional level related experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
