Responsible for Financial Closing Activities particularly related to:

The completeness and timeliness of expense accrual. The reasonableness of expense reversal. The timeliness and summary of VAT input by expense category. The deep dive analysis of expense and the assessment on dashboard outliers. The tracking and monitoring on department actual spending versus rolling forecast. The follow-up and action taking on outstanding items, e.g speaker fee, refund to off-boarding employees, etc)

Coordinate with GSS STS team and manage the activities performed by GSS STS team:

Work with GSS STS team to support the key issues escalated. Follow up and work with different business teams on solving escalated long outstanding issues; Work with GSS STS team on the updates from global/local policies from both finance and compliance wise and make sure the pre-payment checklist consistent with the latest policies. Continuously streamline and standardize STS process to improve efficiency, compliance, and service quality.

Improve internal control and financial integrity

Work with GSS and Genpact Dalian STS team on improving the internal control over STS (vendor payment, speaker fee payment, employee T&E, etc) and make sure the compliance with global/local policies / SOPs. Perform analytical review and deep dive analysis on financial data and dashboard and take actions as necessary. Initiate and support financial processes automation, eg. RPA upgrade 3.0

Communication and partnering

Coordinate and support internal audit (SOX, GRC Audit and Statutory Audit). Responsible for the remediation actions recommended on control improvements. Support business team to continuously enhance financial management and be compliant to policies/SOPs.

Close collaboration with finance team internally.
