A major component of our mission to create transformative healthcare payment experiences involves the ability to provide a network of high integrity and reliability, enabling a seamless member experience at the point of sale. We are looking for an experienced operator to drive our fraud prevention program and position our organization on the forefront of fraud management as we achieve rapid scale. This role will have significant opportunity to establish the frameworks and processes that leverage our tools and platform to drive continual improvement across our decisioning technology.

You will be in the driver's seat and responsible for defining the operational processes around fraud management, leveraging tools to identify, intervene and prevent fraud across our network. In this role, you’ll partner with skilled counterparts across the organization to formulate, ideate, research, discover, and execute against the processes that enable the team to effectively grow and scale to support millions of members and over a dozen unique benefits nationwide.

We are looking for someone to join our operations team that wants to drive excellence and efficiency across each consumer transaction. Established processes, infrastructure and integration with our tools is paramount to our success and ability to rapidly scale across our organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational execution of Solutran’s fraud prevention function, inclusive of prevention, and identification strategies, as well as management and resolution processes
  • Strengthen fraud processes within Solutran’s extensive call center operations, creating appropriate escalation and resolution pathways aligned with industry best practices
  • Lead relationship management with fraud counterparts across external network partners (e.g., Visa, MasterCard), as well as internal compliance stakeholders
  • Formalize core fraud performance measures and partner with Product and Technology counterparts to implement rigid monitoring frameworks and escalation trees
  • Identify opportunities for immediate performance improvement, partnering with product and technology counterparts to drive tool enhancements and infrastructure improvements that simplify the member experience at point of sale
  • Partner across Operations to establish and document comprehensive operational standards and continuously position the organization to support rapid platform growth and new product deployment
  • Design and develop detailed and executive-level dashboards to ensure critical focus areas are appropriately prioritized and addressed
  • Produce high quality documentation based on implemented methodology standards
  • Leverage best-in-class methodologies for problem resolution, continuous production monitoring, proactively addressing defects or issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Product, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with consumer payments fraud management
  • Experience establishing reporting, defining KPIs and ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Experience championing continuous improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfort and experience with SQL analysis or other related tools
  • Detail oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with non-technical and technical people inside and outside the organization

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
