This position is to support the Optum Health Enterprise Clinical Services (ECS) organization as a member of the FP&A team and is accountable for both consolidation and management of our Utilization Management operational team. This position will be a key partner of the Operations leaders as well as ECS and Corporate finance teams, to ensure that the business is operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and with appropriate financial and operating controls in place.
Primary Responsibilities:

UM Finance partner in delivering of sound financials and analytics

Work in partnership with UM operations leadership, ECS Finance, Workforce Management, UHC and other business partners to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial executive packages

Partner closely with Workforce Management to ensure sound FTE forecast for UM teams based on the relevant metrics, projects, initiatives, etc.

Develop and maintain monthly and forecast financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget

Develop and perform all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies

Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
- Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot tables, database / logic formulas, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, DOMO, or other advanced reporting and analysis tools
- Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization and with a cross-functional partners
- Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) at both the working and executive level
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
