The Senior Financial Analyst will support the OptumRx Home Delivery business (prescriptions mail delivery pharmacy). This role is responsible for building and maintaining month end close model and analytics, providing insights into trends in addition to creating and supporting presentations and materials for executive leadership. This role has a front row seat to the full financial picture of OptumRx Home Delivery pharmacy and will provide critical and timely insights to drive business decisions.

If you are located in MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial modeling, data analysis, and business planning in support of the Home Delivery Pharmacy’s (HDP) month end close
  • Collaborate with key finance and business partners across the organization to provide explanation of the key drivers for month and quarter
  • Put together a presentation for month end close and present it to the senior leadership, be ready to answer questions to explain key performance drivers for the month
  • Seeks out new opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Solid analytic background, attention to details, experience managing big data sets
  • Advance level of Excel (i.e., Analytical review, macros, and pivot tables and etc.)
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy or PBM experience
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Tableau or other data visualization software experience
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Solid executive presence, communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment.
