What Will You Do?

The Senior Manager of Growth Initiatives is a new role on the Pricing Team focused on advancing key strategic initiatives including our efforts to deliver a more consistent omnichannel experience to customers across the US (including in our licensee markets). The role will focus on significant, high visibility work like creating a more omnichannel price and promotion strategy, growing high value programs like Furniture Protection, and building modern solutions for things like delivery/ shipping and financing. The role will be accountable to the Director of Pricing Strategy and will be a partner to merchandising, marketing and licensees.

The role is an individual contributor position but has potential to grow into a people leader role as scope expands and financial goals are achieved including revenue growth, margin expansion and customer satisfaction, to cover a few.

  • Develop a strategic roadmap and plan for growth initiatives including financial objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Support initiative leaders to develop action plans and ensure rapid testing, learning and production deployment of key programs.
  • Develop the analytics and reporting strategy to accompany the initiatives and ensure that progress is being made against key metrics.
  • Partner with merchandising, marketing and sales to ensure initiatives are setup for success and complement other business priorities.
  • Understand how initiatives will be operationally executed and then work with appropriate teams on change management efforts to ensure success.
  • Partner with digital product teams to develop new functionality in support of initiative priorities.
  • Demonstrate that key programs (e.g. financing, protection plans, etc.) are achieving their full potential and performing in line with other areas of the business.
  • Understand market trends and ensure that key programs are relevant and current with customer and market expectations.
  • Partner with the Director of Pricing Strategy to ensure that all relevant stakeholders understand the pricing strategy and follow it, ensuring a better customer experience.
  • Partner with licensees to understand best practices that can be implemented to deliver a better customer experience on price and promotion.
  • Provide strategic business updates periodically to Ashley executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Analytics or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a pricing, promotions strategy and analytics or advanced analytics role, Required
  • Occasional Domestic Travel
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of SQL or other database software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet
  • Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice
