Leidos invites applications for the role of a Facility IT Manager to oversee the IT infrastructure and network services within one of our multiple facilities leased by owned by our government’s customer.
This role is expected to be fully onsite - ARPA-H/National Institutes of Health (NIH) – Boston, MA

Must be US Citizen with the Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance.

Job Summary:

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Direct management and optimization of the facility’s network infrastructure, including vendor assessments, product selection, and system design.
  • Act as a single PoC for IT site coordination and issue escalations at the facility.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of site IT related incidents, proactively working to identify causals and develop preventative strategies.
  • Manage hardware, software and network services as part of onsite troubleshooting and solutioning in coordination with IT services teams.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, manage contracts, and negotiate service agreements to support infrastructure needs.
  • Implement, maintain and enforce security policies, protocols and procedures to protect the facility, IT systems and data.
  • Implement and oversee infrastructure monitoring protocols to ensure high availability and performance of network services.
  • Provide IT Specialist and Audiovisual support as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional ARPA-H teams to ensure IT support aligns with organizational goals and user requirements.
  • Mentor and lead the on-site IT team, encouraging professional growth and technological expertise.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; master’s degree preferred. 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years of IT infrastructure and network services experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Prior experience implementing, maintaining and enforcing security protocols for facility and IT systems and data.
  • Prior experience managing budget, forecasting technology needs, contracts and negotiating service agreements.
  • Demonstrable experience with coordination, incident causals analysis, planning, and infrastructure monitoring.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in a government or research institution with stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
