Furniture Repair Technician

What Will You Do?

You will be responsible for varying levels of repair and restoration of furniture pieces. Identify the level of repair needed and determines the type of tool, equipment and parts needed to repair the piece. The pieces include items such as upholstery, case goods, mattresses, etc. Repair the piece per standard operating procedures and company standards and once the repair is complete, will disposition the piece accordingly. Contribute to improvement efforts within quality and performance measures as well as targeted levels.

What Do You Need?

  • Ability to read and write, Required

  • 1-year experience in production assembly, touch up repair, or related area, Required

  • Company-issued PIV license, or ability to obtain within 60 days

  • Basic math skills

  • Knowledge of hand tool usage and repair supplies

  • Demonstrated ability to set up and repair furniture

  • Experience with Document management systems

  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and internet
