Job Description

Position Description:
Associate Director – Cost of Sales & Inventory (COSI) Process Support provides guidance to the COSI organization on the end-to-end accounting activities related to the costing and movement of inventory through our Company’s financial supply chain. The COSI end-to-end activities include legal costing, reviewing the calculation of consolidated cost, movement of inventory, reconciliation of inventory balances, and the calculation of intercompany profit. The position will develop a broad understanding of the end to end financial reporting process, our Company's financial supply chains, and the use of various financial tools. This candidate will partner with various divisions across the company, including the Manufacturing, Human Health, and Information Technology divisions.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversight of the end-to-end costing, inventory and intercompany profit processes, including the evaluation of process changes and impacts
Ownership of business tools to support journal entries in SAP and master data controls and processes (product hierarchy), to support the financial close
Coordination and testing of system fixes and enhancements, partnering with information technology (IT) teams and others
Partnering with local finance teams, Business Service Centers (BSC), Divisional Financial Service (DFS) teams to provide monthly close support and guidance on how to properly record sales and inventory related activity
Participation in Global Process teams, involved in sales, inventory and costing
Participation in various projects, including TRAIN initiatives
Ad hoc requests
Responsible for managing senior analyst/analyst
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement
BS/BA degree in Accounting
Required Experience and Skills
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in an analytical, accounting or finance role
Ability to work well independently, as well as in teams, and manage accounting projects
Strong leadership and managerial skills
Highly developed organizational, analytical and communication skills and an ability to collaborate across areas
Goal oriented, initiative to learn and adaptive to change
Preferred Experience and Skills
CPA or MBA
Knowledge of Finance Sharing Area (FSA – SAP Hana database), Financial Tool Kit (FTK), SAP, HFM/FDM (Hyperion Consolidation tools), Excel based tools (Analysis for Office, Smartview)
Knowledge of sales, inventory and cost accounting
