We are in search of an IT Network Operations Lead at Fort Meade, MD.

Program Details:
The Defense Enclave Services (DES) contract provides network modernization to Defense Agencies and Field Activities in a partnership with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to deliver a single digital enterprise that establishes a modern infrastructure foundation and unified architecture needed to deliver cohesive combat support capabilities to the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee the management and supervision of 20+ personnel.
•Monitor and supervise the activities involved with daily services to all DES infrastructure assets and associated peripherals to include: Network Control Center, Problem Management, Switching, Routing, Perimeter devices (firewalls), Video and VoIP, Physical Cabling (including Wireless), VIP support, and the Joint Operations Center.
•Maintain current knowledge of technical innovations in technology infrastructure, and work with the team to develop a plan to utilize these technologies.
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and associated personnel.
•Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.
•Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.
•Oversee daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.
•Oversee the day-to-day operational infrastructure services provided in support of the Defense Enclave Services (DES) and its customers.
•Interface between the customer and DISA management and provide input into the management activities.
•Ensure that personnel receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and develop/present briefings, prepare correspondence, and project status reports.
•Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts.
•Interface with both internal and external executive leadership.
•Ability to lead and work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.

Clearance Requirement:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)

Must have’s:
•Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
•8+ years’ experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program.
•Ability to work with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
•Excellent briefing, writing, and communication skills.
•Demonstrated hands-on expertise networking technologies and data centers
•Detail oriented and organized.

Nice to have’s:
•DoD IAT II, ITIL foundation, PMP certifications.
•Knowledge of DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework.
•Possess an in-depth knowledge of DoD Enterprise IT policies and procedures.
•Manage globally distributed 24x7 operations to include short-notice travel in response to emerging operational issues.
•An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently; have a passion to improve at every opportunity.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00
