**Position** AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN**Req Code** 3730-054**Location** KHASHM AL AN**Grade** V-46**Basic Functions** The Aircraft Electrician performs unit level aircraft electrical maintenance on aircraft components. Performs maintenance on the electrical systems associated with the aircraft using the Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, aircraft Check List Manual, and any customer or specific directives. The Aircraft Electrician will also provide technical direction and training to Ministry of National Guard Soldiers when needed.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**A. Duties/responsibilities:1. Performs electrician tasks and duties as required using Technical Manuals, Operator Manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and any other directives pertinent to the environment.2. Remove, inspect, troubleshoot and install aircraft electrical system and subsystem components and subcomponents.3. Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools/test equipment, and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).4. Prepares, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records.5. Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to MNG personnel in all aspects of aircraft electrical maintenance activities.6. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.7. Oversees the daily aircraft electrical system maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Supervisor, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares.8. In coordination with the PC Supervisor to support the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.9. Other tasks as directed by the PC Supervisor.B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.**Minimum Qualifications**A. Education Level Requirements:1. High school diploma or equivalent required.B. Experience Requirements:1. Five (5) years experience performing as an aircraft electrician._2._ Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent required.C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:1. Graduate of a US Military aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent.2. Previous experience in unit level electrical repairs on the supported aircraft.3. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.4. Proficient in MS Office software.5. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.6. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.7. Possess a valid drivers license8. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hireD. Desired/Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:1. Associates Degree or equivalent training and experience.2. FAA A&P certificate.3. Five (5) years experience as an AH-64E, UH-60M, OH-58D aircraft electrician.
