**Position** AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN**Req Code** 3730-040**Location** KHASHM AL AN**Grade** V-46**Basic Functions** Functions as the Aviation Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) under the direction of the Production Control (PC) Supervisor. The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) shall be responsible for performing Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), conducting in-flight troubleshooting and verifications of aircraft to ensure airworthiness upon completion of extensive disassembly for maintenance, repair, replacement or modification of components or aircraft systems. Flights typically associated with this position include determining the availability of required aircraft power, assessing power plant health and performance, and verifying the functioning of aircraft components and systems in accordance with applicable aircraft technical publications and predetermined requirements. The MTP shall perform general or limited test flights of aircraft when ground diagnostic tests cannot determine the safe and/or proper functioning of aircraft components or systems. The MTP shall conduct aircraft general and pre-flight readiness inspections. The MTP shall successfully start, run-up, fly, navigate and safely land aircraft IAW applicable aircraft operators manual. The MTP shall correctly complete all required aircraft maintenance forms, records, and aircraft log books entries. The MTP shall perform mathematical calculations, performance data, and landing configurations of the type series. The MTP shall conduct briefings to flight crew members and maintenance personnel in support of the various MTP aircraft operations as stated above.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**A. Duties/responsibilities:1. Ensures that maintenance test flight functional activities and procedures are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness rates IAW contractual requirements.2. Responsible for the establishment of maintenance flight processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.3. Establishes daily maintenance test flight organizational goals with production control, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated readiness rates.4. Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, standards, measures, and reports IAW the quality control inspection program for all maintenance and in coordination with Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities.5. Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance test flights and supporting maintenance activities, to the PC Supervisor.6. Attends the daily PC meeting for coordination and synchronization of maintenance activities requiring MTP support.7. Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance test flight operations support with the Base Operations Supervisor.8. Ensures all maintenance test flight operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.9. In coordination with the PC Supervisor, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.10. Other tasks as directed by the PC Supervisor.B. Independence: Reports to the Battalion Production Control Manger. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.**Minimum Qualifications**A. Education Level Requirements:1. High school diploma or equivalent requiredB. Experience Requirements:1. Two (2) years experience as a Maintenance Test pilot in UH60 series aircraft2. Meets requirements of AR 95-20C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:1. Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter license2. USG maintenance test pilot qualified in the UH-60M helicopter3. Successfully pass the Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter4. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation5. Proficient in MS Office software6. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills7. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner8. Possess a valid US issued drivers license and passport9. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hireD. Desired/Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:1. Associates Degree or equivalent training and experience.2. Maintenance Examiner in UH60M _._3. FAA IA certificate4. FAA A&P certificate.
