The Vehicle Mechanic performs a variety of functions such as scheduling of vehicle maintenance.

  • Maintains the scheduling and dispatch of vehicles between buildings around the facility grounds
  • Requires judgment, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating with drivers
  • Acts as a liaison for vehicle maintenance requests
  • Performs monthly service inspections on all equipment and vehicles.
  • Service and Operational Checks to be performed on a vehicle or equipment include, but not limited to Engine and Engine Oil, Transmission and Transmission Fluid, Steering System, Drive line including for front wheel drive vehicles, Differential, Exhaust System, Pumping Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Brakes, Lights, Tires, Body, Interior/Exterior, Suspension System, and Air Conditioning.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance or ability to obtain a TS/SCI with a polygraph.
  • Must have ASE Certification
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent Customer Service
  • Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to manage several tasks in diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking's under high pressure situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
