Overview:

Responsible for performing duties as a non-rated crewmember (NRCM) in the UH-60M Aircraft and supporting simulation device(s). Provides non-rated crewmember duties on all flight tasks in accordance with the appropriate Department of Defense (DOD) Digital Aircrew Training Manual (DATM). Participates in academic instruction in support of flight training on all applicable topics. Participates in preflight briefing, post flight debriefing, and after action reviews (AAR) to ensure crewmembers have a thorough comprehension of the training conducted. May assist the NRCM Instructors in maintaining flight training records in accordance with appropriate US Army regulations and local guidance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs duties as a non-rated crewmember (NRCM) in the UH-60M Aircraft in accordance with the US Army Aviation ATM and specific unit ATP guidelines. Participate in the NRCM Training Program in accordance with customer guidance. Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete. Conduct individual tasks during day, night, and night vision goggle (NVG), and instrument flight rules (IFR). Assist the FI/SIs with the NRCM program through realistic mission training under local environmental conditions to include dust landings and weather specific desert (and other environmental tasks as required) training. Attend meetings as required with Customer(s). Recommend aviation NRCM appointments to customer leadership. As a member of the Aviation Safety Council, attend regularly scheduled Aviation Safety Council meetings as required. Attend and provide training and mission planning input to the weekly Production Control and Operations meeting. Responsible for providing direct interface and daily status reports as required between staff for training status, mission assignments, mission planning, and crew status. Other duties as assigned and or directed by management. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have been qualified as a non-rated crewmember in the UH-60 series aircraft. Graduate of instruction from an USAACE approved proponent school for MOS qualification related to the mission type and design UH-60 series or an (FI/SI) evaluation administered by a standardization instructor (SI) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES) required or equivalent. Qualified on the UH-60 Series Aircraft.

Experience: Experience in utility helicopter mission required. Minimum of 250 Non Rated Crew Member (NRCM) total flight hours in the UH-60 series aircraft required. Minimum of 150 flight instructor (FI) or standardization flight instructor (SI) hours in the UH-60 series aircraft preferred. Combat experience preferred.
