Functions as Lead Instructor for Aviation Refuel and Ammunition courses under the direction of the Aviation Institute Senior Training Manager. Responsible for performing duties as an Aviation Refuel and Ammo Instructor, conducting academic instruction and hands-on performance training and evaluations to ensure student proficiency and adherence to academic standards. Responsible for maintaining Individual Gradebook Folders.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instructions in a classroom environment for the coordination, administrative activities of bulk fuel and ammo accountability along with ensuring all spec of fuel meeting quality surveillance testing with the storage and distribution of petroleum fuel. Technical support to provide classroom and field instruction at the basic level in full compliance with approved Refuel/Ammo training outlines. Support for the development of instruction of comprehensive, tactically relevant operational training, including the design, development and implementation of training exercises and scenarios required to prepare soldiers for deployment. Develop, maintain, and update course materials; conduct remedial training as required; conduct examinations and evaluations of candidates. Train candidates to: receive and stock bulk and packaged products ammo, issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units, operate airplane refueling systems and equipment; planning and scheduling petroleum transport; operating pumps, pipelines and tanker equipment and comply with safety regulations, procedures for handling dangerous materials and testing oil and fuels. Ensure accountability and positive control over all materials and supplies utilized in the conduct of instruction. Responsible for the health, welfare and supervision of all students under his/her control. Prepare and maintain files and records on each individual undergoing training. Maintain completed training record files for historical review. Track student performance using the required Training/Learning Management System. Other duties as assigned and or directed by management. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Lead Instructor of the Refuel/Ammo courses of instruction.
Education: High school graduate. Bachelors degree preferred. Graduate of the US Army Instructor Trainer Course required
Experience: 10 years FARP management experience required. Possess a valid drivers license, DD214 required for military experience. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.
