Overview:

Performs duties as an avionics mechanic. Performs unit level aircraft electrical, navigational and avionics repairman maintenance on aircraft avionics and avionics electrical components. Performs maintenance on the electrical/avionics associated with the Aircraft using the specific aircraft Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, aircraft Check List Manual, and any customer or specific directives. Diagnoses and repairs aircraft systems and components malfunctions including solid state and transistorized devices according to the appropriate technical manuals, directives and safety procedures. Uses common measuring tools necessary for performing the tasks described herein, precision measuring tools and alignment fixtures. Performs aircraft systems operational checks. Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft avionics systems test sets and diagnostic equipment. Assists Customer in the requisition and maintenance of shop and bench stock items for repair of aircraft avionics systems, avionics instruments. Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, AGSE and PGSE. Provides training to Saudi National Guard soldiers to include certification recommendations for progression from level 1 to level II. Develops training programs, schedules training and documents training in an automated training management system. Provides training reports to the Division Training Lead as required. Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records. Ensures that all related operations are conducted in a safe manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensures that aircraft electrical maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements. Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates. Establishes daily aircraft electrical maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated OR rates. Oversees the daily aircraft electrical maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Supervisor, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares. Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards. Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation electrical maintenance of the aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Supervisor. Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the PC Supervisor. Coordinates daily and weekly maintenance training activities. In coordination with the PC and Flight Operations, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures. Conducts OJT, schedules training events, reports and collects data using available training management systems. Other tasks as directed by the Division Training Lead. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements: Five (5) years experience performing as an aircraft electrician on either a UH-60 or AH-64. US Military or civilian technical trainer experience

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements: Graduate of a US Military aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent training and experience. Demonstrated past performance and experience in unit level electrical repairs on the supported aircraft. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Proficient in MS Office software. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possess a valid drivers license. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire. Desired/Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience: Associates Degree. Ten (10) years experience as an aircraft electrician and military trainer
