AN/SQQ-89 Sonar System Technician
Job Summary
Amentum is seeking an AN/SQQ-89 Sonar System Technician for MARMC Code 287 to provide technical services for both ship and land-based site installations. The employee will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, onboard maintenance training, assessment, and inspections onboard Navy surface combatant ships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assessment/inspection support, engineering technical services, and program/logistics support for legacy SQQ-89 and associated equipment/subsystems both ship and land-based site installations
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair AN/SQQ-89 system and associated equipment
- Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at company and client sites
- Perform test and evaluation, check-out, certification tasks
- Perform validations and verifications of various electronic systems
- Assist in training others in the operation and performance of systems
- Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, and other tasks as needed
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of six (6) years troubleshooting, evaluating, repair and general experience with the AN/SQQ89 Sonar System and associated equipment
- Must be able to assess AN/SQQ-89 system architecture, computer processing system interfaces to locate and correct shipboard faults
- Active secret clearance

- Prior Navy STG is desirable
