HVAC/DDC Technician
The HVAC-DDC Technician operates, maintains and repairs direct digital control (DDC) systems; operates, maintains, and repairs boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, water heaters, air handling and air conditioning units; performs preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems in accordance with established schedules, operating procedures, and equipment warranty; analyzes malfunctions in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment, and makes necessary adjustments or repairs under the guidance of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Qualifications
- Licensed journey HVAC technician with a minimum of 2 years' experience with direct digital control systems which use pneumatic control panel equipment and be familiar with the concept of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) as it pertains to DDC.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment including centrifugal chillers, boilers, pumps, air handler units, humidifiers, piping, heat exchangers and associated equipment.
- Must be fluent in speaking and reading English.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, have completed a secondary school or obtained a GED.
- A Top Secret Clearance is required
