Amentum is seeking a Property Control Technician to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Property Control Technician is primarily responsible for providing the physical identification markings (tagging) and administrative recording of property assets at the AUTEC project. Assists with other department duties, as needed, to include the day-to-day administration of the AUTEC Property Management System. This position reports to the Property Control Manager. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing shipping/aircraft manifests and receipt reports to identify incoming property assets which require identification markings (tagging) and affixes same to applicable assets.
  • Maintains a suspense file for tracking new acquisition assets. Submits related reports to the Property Control Manager.
  • Coordinates the tagging of new assets with various departments and/or end users.
  • Performs additional database modifications on existing property assets which require information updates or transfer of ownership.
  • Performs research to determine correct property classifications and coding for new acquisition assets and enters information into Maximo, the IUID Registry and Logistic/Property Control Databases. Utilizes FEDLOG and other federal acquisition databases to perform research.
  • Collects receipt/tracking documentation and performs related research utilizing the Logistic Asset Databases to identify and update tagged asset records accordingly.
  • Assists the Property Control Department with the physical inventory audit of all tagged assets.
  • Provides assistance with the disposition of property assets, equipment/material, as needed.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on accuracy of data entries for property records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of experience in property control.
  • High School degree required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Working knowledge of internet research required.
  • Experience in at least two of the following databases: FEDLOG, Maximo, IUID Registry or the Disposition Services component of DLA’s Enterprise External Business Portal.
  • Accuracy with numbers and data entry a must.
  • Must be capable of performing moderate amounts of daily computer activities, i.e., keystroke and terminal screen viewing, without adverse effects.
  • Strong attention to detail with good retention, mathematic and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, multi-task oriented and capable of working independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to promote teamwork and provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Must meet minimum requirements for operating a DOD-owned vehicles and/or golf cart.
  • Must be capable of performing field inspections, to include handling items up to 50 lbs. to conduct tagging and inventory audits.
  • Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport will be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in a property asset, inventory, military supply or warehouse environment preferred.
  • 2 or more years of experience with an inventory based or assets based computer software system preferred.
