**Position** AIRCRAFT POWERPLANT TECHNICIAN**Req Code** 5020-054**Location** KHASHM AL AN**Grade** 4-L1**Basic Functions** Performs aircraft powerplant maintenance tasks on the AH64E, UH-60M and AH-6i as required using the specific OEM Operators Manuals, Maintenance Test Flight Manuals, Check List Manuals, and any other directives pertinent to the environment.Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies and line replaceable units (LRUs) of the AH-64E, UH-60M and AH-6i power plant related systems (engines and auxiliary power units). Remove, disassemble, repair, rig, rework, reassemble, install, modify, adjust, test and preserve power plant systems, subsystems, and components according to directives, technical manuals, and safety procedures. Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and appropriate AVUM/AVIM corrective actions on the power plant related systems. Perform power plant maintenance and repair. Operate and maintain all applicable ground support equipment. Identify, use and maintain all common, special, and precision tools available for power plant maintenance and repair. Conducts MNG OJT training as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**A.Duties/responsibilities: Ensures that Aircraft maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR). Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates. Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated OR rates. Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards. Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance of Aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the Production Control Manager. Responsible for completion and maintenance of applicable forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and other publications of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS). Maintain accountability of property in the Powerplant Shop. Perform cleaning, preservation, and operational maintenance work on assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment. Other tasks as directed by the Production Control Manager.B.Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.C.Supervisory Responsibilities: As assigned**Minimum Qualifications**A. Education Level Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.B. Experience Requirements: Five (5) years experience as an aircraft powerplant mechanic required. Must have demonstrated, hands-on working knowledge of GE T700-701 series and Allison 250-C30 series power plant systems and subsystems.C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements: Graduate of a US Militaryaircraft powerplant maintenance course or civilian equivalent training. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Proficient in MS Office software. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possess a valid US issued drivers license and passport. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.D. Desired/Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:Hands on knowledge of the US Army T-62T-40 auxiliary power plant.
