Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Provides analysis expertise in support of a wide range of work management functions and related operations research efforts within Maximo and other database platforms. Oversees complex issues related to data system input requirements, modifying various data sets regarding integrated scheduling support and innovates solutions for identified opportunities within Maximo in support of improving accuracy/efficiency. Participates as a team member as part of a larger project or may serve as a SME in relation to business processes and Maximo platform.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Analyze and research work management system data to gain a thorough technical understanding of a complex subject area supporting a task assignment. Task assignment may include one or more of the following analysis: strategic planning and analysis; Work management system data analysis; work management system report generation; regulatory analysis; safety and risk analysis; system operation performance analysis; and information analysis.

2) Perform System Analyst duties to administer, train, document and functionally support Maximo and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) users with applicable operating procedures and policies.

3) Prepare oral presentations and written reports to management, indicating solution or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution.

4) Assist in the development of work management system procedures. This development will include but is not limited to: identifying opportunities to fix broken work flows, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our business processes in order to educate the shops on how to maneuver or fix issues within Maximo, mitigate ongoing errors related to data input by consistently reviewing work orders for accuracy and maintaining a rolling log of opportunities identified within the normal course of business.

5) Prepare reporting related to specific data sets within Maximo system and communicate on a routine basis (weekly, monthly) to all prescribed shops. Will also be responsible for providing “on call” visibility to colleagues on various requested information to be pulled from the Maximo platform.

6) Analyze routine and complex requests related to the modification, fix or process improvement relative to Maximo data Entry. Throughout the routine course of business, our shops will send in requests asking for you to take a deeper look at an issue and create a cohesive solution to meet the desired outcome. This may entail going beyond a routine understanding of the Maximo platform and will require the desired candidate to take initiative and leverage resources to get to the root cause and find the fix. Then, implement and communicate that answer to the team.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience in the following:

  • Expert level working knowledge of Maximo
  • Development of queries & use of multi-modal databases ( ex: Oracle SQL)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and work processing applications
  • Design of graphic analysis using data bases and information systems
  • Conducting complex, multi-discipline information analysis in support of contract performance
  • Performing detailed root-cause analysis
  • Statistical Analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented, time sensitive work are required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional workflow within analyst discipline
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required for unescorted access to assigned work area(s). Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries.
