SW Logistics Analyst

Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a SW Logistics Analyst to join our Systems Engineering team in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate for this possition is someone with SSBN Fleet experience to perform the logistics tasking. This position will interface with the current Fleet regarding software media and logistics to receive and process it. Having the Fleet experience background will help support the tasking.

Essential Responsibilities: Perform Software Logistic activites for Strategic Weapons System software developments.

Responsibilities:

- Research and analyze problems in the areas of acquisition, cost, data, and logistics; determine alternatives; and recommend solutions.

- Collaborate with customer(s) to define, coordinate and track the status of multi disciplinary task(s) and to advise on technical and logistics element planning and implementation.

- Review program reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc., and perform tests/evaluations and validations/verifications; provide comments; consolidate and adjudicate comments from various organizations, and prepare reports.

- Prepare program management correspondence (i.e., letters, memos and route sheets), design charts, spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and presentations, and prepare analytical reports and meeting minutes.

- Advise the customer logistics area manager(s) as a subject matter expert on program development, planning and implementation of logistics element(s) to meet customer program goals and objectives.

- Interface daily with various technical and logistics team leaders to exchange information and coordinate related task performance.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Education: : A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline; or four (4) years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in the discipline of logistics functions; or US Naval operational experience at the E4 level or higher.

Experience: 6 years of logistics experience.

Security Clearance Required.

- SSBN Fleet Logistics Experience with with delivery and tracking of Tactical SW to the Fleet..

- Experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation for a DOD major weapon systems program that employs the use of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
