Human Resource Analyst III

Amentum is seeking a Human Resource Analyst III in support of our Range and Aerial Operations in Las Vegas, Nevada. The selected candidate will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance in support of strategic business objectives. This position also acts as a subject matter expert and liaison between local HR, payroll and corporate HRIS to sensitive and complex HR related issues. The duties listed below are not mutually exclusive.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collects and compiles key HR metrics and data from a variety of sources, including human resource information systems (HRIS) and payroll outputs, benefits enrollment records, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, personnel records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.

  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.

  • Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested by the Director of Human Resources.

  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.

  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.

  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between local HR, information services, external vendors, payroll, and other stakeholders for HRIS and payroll issues.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree; 5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.

  • Workday, ADP, EV5, Costpoint experience highly preferred.

  • At least three years of experience with HR business systems required.

  • PHR / SHRM-CP a plus.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
