Deloitte's Policy and Government Relations (PGR) group is currently looking to add a Senior Analyst to the team in Washington, DC. This role will begin on a remote work basis and eventually be based out of its Washington, DC office.

Policy and Government Relations Core Functions:

  • Protect Deloitte's business interests and expand growth opportunities through advocacy, education, and engagement at the federal and state levels
  • Establish Deloitte as a trusted thought leader by promoting the firm's eminence with government stakeholders and policy influencers at the federal and state levels
  • Support internal and external clients by monitoring, analyzing, and providing insights into the political, legislative, and public policy landscapes
  • Identify and analyze policy trends to help inform business decisions, develop policy positions, and advance the firm's business objectives and initiatives

Role Description:
  • Work directly with PGR Leader providing project management support, assisting with intake, tracking, and execution of requests and projects
  • Support the federal and policy teams with research and content development
  • Assist in developing and updating presentation decks
  • Assist in managing risk review process for presentation materials
  • Assist with research and analysis of public policy, legislative, and political issues
  • Support PGR Leader with team management activities including tracking assignments, developing meeting agendas, and tracking meeting follow-up.
  • Support initiatives for the PGR team based on guidance from PGR Leader

Required:
  • 3-5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with and/or understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and political processes
  • Ability to research policy and political issues and effectively synthesize and summarize the information
  • Ability to synthesize data and develop high-quality, innovative, and impactful deliverables
  • Excellent writing skills; ability to summarize and relay complex public policy topics in a nonpartisan and objective manner
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation development skills
  • Strong Excel skills; Tableau skills a plus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Action-oriented and ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to self-direct work
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion with sensitive content and topics
  • Professional demeanor and presence
  • Team-player, with clear demonstration of ability to work in a dynamic, team-based environment
  • Travel of up to 10% (While 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
