The Production Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining work scheduling data, work status-to-date, process controls and forecasts completions and computations of various tasks on contract units. Prepares, transfers, systemizes, and preserves both written and computerized communications and records. Gathers and distributes information and accounts for stores of materials. This technician will provide interface support for contractor site lead and contract officer Representative (COR), ground flight representative (GFR). They will provide administrative support

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and records production data from such documents as the customer order, in shop work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures.

  • Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.

  • Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.

  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared.

  • Compiles, from specifications, detailed production sheets for use by production workers as guides in assembly, modification or manufacture of products.

  • Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.

  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.

  • Charts production based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.

  • Use applicable Aircraft Notebook (ACN) Logistic Information System to compile and record production data.

  • Manage the workflow of work requests submitted through the production control office. Submit work requests to the appropriate back shop to facilitate inspection, test, or repair.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Two (2) years of job-related experience including basic computer operations skills is required.

  • Background in Rotary Wing General Maintenance practices on AH-64 Series, CH-47 Series, and UH-60 Series preferred.

  • MWO experience on all airframes preferred.

  • Experience in The Army Maintenance Management System TAMMS recordkeeping program preferred.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • Must be able to process routine reports and must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
