HSE Specialist 1
Purpose and Scope:
Performs safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety program enforcement.
Performs analytical investigative studies related to safety and occupational health.
Perform preliminary reviews of literature in the fields of environment, safety, and related fields.
Assist in the analysis of data gathered from literature or collected from investigations.
Collect samples or data and assist in the maintenance and inventory of equipment and systems using established procedures or protocols.
Assist in the development of simple programs, systems, or processes.
Performs work operation in a warehouse in hot/cold, noisy, and dusty/dirty environment.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a High School Diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
- Must have safety and occupational related experience.
- Must have good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
- Must have detailed organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
- Must be able to perform in hot/cold, dusty/dirty, and noisy warehouse environment.
- Position may require travel.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
