Procurement Specialist (GmbH)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

Reviews requisitions and negotiates within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Follows Corporate and Government Procurement & supply chain policies and procedures, PWS requirements, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), to ensure Procurement actions are consistent with all guidelines. Obtains materials and services from suppliers at the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) bid, consistent with consideration of quality, reliability, and urgency of need to meet day to day mission requirements. Determines the best course of action for purchasing materials and services via P-Card, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and/or Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA). Assists with determining if purchases are direct or indirect costs. Negotiates with suppliers/solution partners to obtain products/services at the least cost/risk solution to ensure end-users needs are met. Builds and maintains relationships with key suppliers throughout Europe and the U.S. Review Statement of Works (SOW’s) and Supplier Agreements in German & English, to ensure proposals meet mission and end-user requirements. Maintains procurement records for all transactions in systems of record. Creates complex Procurement information packages and Audit files for USG and Corporate review, updates and maintains information in systems of record such as OnPoint, CostPoint, SharePoint, and various other systems as required. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods and services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine proper corrective action. Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate. Other Duties as assigned

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Two years of experience in procurement, sub-contracts, and/or Supply Chain Management. High School graduate or equivalent. Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements. Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card). Due to access restrictions for Amentum Proprietary Procurement systems this position may only be available to U.S. Citizens.

Specialized knowledge and skills:

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Proficiency in German is preferred.

·Valid driver’s license is required

2)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves-51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.

·Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.

·Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)

The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to situations where risk of electrical shock and vibration exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

·May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
