Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily coordination, advisement, technical support and conformance of project designs and determinations by validating drawings, project submittals, and other related documents for accuracy and conformance of EHS policies, local & federal regulation, and required environmental permits.

Partner with engineering design, shops, and contractors for project design reviews, site walkdowns, and internal meetings.

Provide technical EHS guidance and act as a liaison between EHS, Engineering and the contractor or shop.

Maintain electronic recordkeeping system for all EHS design review comments and recommendations

Maintain effective communication between contractor/vendors, design engineers/architects, project management teams, and EHS business lines throughout the project regarding EHS hazard identification, project submittals, plans, change management to facilitate compliance with regulations and EHS standards.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: No less than 3-5 years in industrial and/or construction role; hazard recognition and mitigation, technical report preparation and executive communications, EHS related drawing and specification review, issuance and retention of documents.

Must be able to identify when Environmental programs such as Title V, SPCC, Registered Tanks, Stormwater permits may be needed during design and work reviews.

Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA 1910, 1926, EPA Title 40.

Planning, scheduling, and organization are critical skill sets for success or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities

Performs other duties as assigned
