Job Summary

Purpose: Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections of multiple COMSEC / C5ISR equipment in order to meet the requirements and standards set forth by the USG and Amentum.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Performs Technical, Acceptance, Final, and Classification inspections on assigned COMSEC / C5ISR equipment.
  2. Performs initial inspections to determine the nature and extent of communications and electronic equipment repairs required.
  3. Performs final inspections on communications and electronic equipment after the repairs have been completed.
  4. Diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repairs of communications and electronic equipment using a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE.
  5. Tests circuits, tubes, and allied part; isolates defects, adjusts and adapts radios and other electronic equipment to meet specific needs for effective operation.
  6. Prepares records of inspections/tests and makes them available to the QA/QC Department.
  7. Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company SOPs, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program.
  8. Maintains crosstalk with QA and LAR representatives.
  9. Coordinates with Shop Supervisor when technical problems arise, and in-depth mechanical knowledge is required.
  10. Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs.
  11. Inspects work throughout the entire repair process.
  12. Maintain proficiency on related training tasks.
  13. Conducts surveillances and performs other administrative duties as required within the Quality Control Office.
  14. Adhere to current principles, practices, and procedures to be employed, quality of work expected, and tools to be used for diagnosing chronic equipment failure.
  15. Adhere to a safety-first mentality and promote a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost- time injuries and ensure work is performed in strict compliance with safety in mind.
  16. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

  1. REQUIRED BASELINE EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience OR an Associate degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR 11 years of recent specialized experience. Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  2. Five (5) years of experience in Electronic Maintenance field, required.
  3. At least One (1) year of inspection experience, required.
  4. U.S. Military Veterans must be qualified via DD-214 in one of the below Electronic Maintenance fields:
    1. Army MOS – 94 series (E/F/M/W/Z), 25 series (C/F/S/U/W/X/Z), or Warrant Officer 948B.
    2. Air Force MOS – 1P0X1 Air Crew Flight Equipment.
    3. Marines MOS – 2171, 2831 or 2805 Warrant Officer.
    4. Navy & Coast Guard – Electronics Technician (ET) or Electronics Warrant (ELC).
  5. To qualify without a DD214 candidates must have contracting experience maintaining special electronic devices and/or communication and electronics systems with a primary contracting company providing support to the U.S. Military. This experience must be reflected and verified in the resume of candidate.

Certification, License & Clearance:
1. Valid US Driver’s license required.
2. NACI/T1 Required.
3. Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
4. Must be a U.S. Citizen

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Must have experience on how to determine the cause and location of malfunctions, diagnose the extent of faults, and convey the level of maintenance required in multiple C5ISR/COMSEC systems.
  2. Must have knowledge of integrated circuits, electronic principles and theory, including solid state components as applied to control, function, and logic circuit; digital and analog circuits; functional use of complex electronic test equipment; electronic power, data processing and communications equipment; principles and methods of electronics systems maintenance and repair; and safety procedures.
  3. Must be able to read and understand communications and electronic equipment schematics.
  4. Must have knowledge of the USG security requirements of the handling and storage of COMSEC equipment classified as Sensitive and non-keyed Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) items.
  5. Have the ability to navigate through and understand the use of complex Army technical manuals and be able to follow logical procedures with regard for consequences in problem solving; making calculations; and interpreting schematics in the use of high voltage equipment as it pertains to multiple C5ISR ground to ground communications systems and subsystems.
  6. Must be able to navigate and understand GCSS-Army to verify man hours and build work schedules.
  7. Must have strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite applications and other programs i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project, SharePoint, and other software programs.
  8. Must be fluent in the English language with the ability to read, write, and speak with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics.
  9. Must have the ability to enforce company directives and follow instructions and in a hostile zone.
  10. Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
  11. Must have a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
  12. Must be able to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:


1. Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
2. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
3. Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
4. Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.


Preferred Qualifications


1. GCSS-Army certification, preferred.
