Work You'll Do:
The Marketing Lead Specialist -Strategic Growth Offering (SGO) will support the Government and Public Services (GPS) industry practice and have responsibility for special projects across our portfolio of business focusing on our Operate Strategic Growth Offering. Deloitte's Operate services help public sector organizations and higher education institutions meet ever-increasing demands with a portfolio of innovative services and solutions spanning AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and operations designed to help improve operational efficiency and deliver valuable mission impact for public sector organizations. The Lead Specialist will work closely with the GPS marketing team to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, deliver innovative content marketing strategies, and report marketing's contributions to GPS leadership.

This role will report to a GPS Marketing Manager and will work closely with the Operate SGO leadership team to differentiate the Deloitte brand, drive Deloitte's business priorities forward, deliver innovative content marketing strategies, and measure impact across the GPS market.
Specific Areas of Focus Include:

  • Marketing & Communications Fundamentals: Experienced understanding of marketing and communications basics to drive business goals
  • Project Management and Campaign Activation: Lead in the development, maintenance, and execution of marketing campaigns including digital strategy
  • Business Advisor: Serve as strategic marketing advisor to key stakeholders within areas of responsibility - assist with articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing external vendor relationships - drafting RFPs for creative services, managing external resources
  • Writing: Comfort with drafting different types of content including, but not limited to, ad copy, web copy, social copy and marketing collateral.
  • Content/Thought Leadership marketing: Design facilitation, editing, internal and external announcements, digital promotion, etc. for thought leadership and white papers
  • Content Development: Develop and edit content and collateral material and refreshing website content for consistent messaging and clear voice
  • Social Media: Creation and implementation of full social media plans for campaigns
  • Digital/Website: Manage and update Deloitte's external website to help generate page visits and drive engagement of featured content
  • Event Production and Management: Includes strategy, planning logistics, invitations, registration, production and on-site oversight to create an experience and environment to foster greater connections with our clients and prospects - elevating Deloitte's brand in the market
  • Impact Reporting: Sets KPIs at the start of a campaign, tracks progress and gathers ROI data for use in executive-level reports, focusing on data storytelling, including how the data will inform future campaigns and tactics, and the overall impact of marketing on GPS growth and brand positioning
  • Budget Management: Plan and manage marketing budgets for campaigns
Qualifications:
  • Experience working within professional services and/or technology marketing, including campaign and content development
  • Experience working within the government professional services market, a plus
  • Familiarity with concepts like cybersecurity, DevOps, IT Services Management, CRM, and digital transformation, a plus
  • Innovative thinker who brings new ideas to the discussion and see those ideas from conception through execution
  • Experience with digital marketing techniques; audience segmentation, SEO, personas
  • Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Creative mindset with passion to and drive to foster innovation in marketing and communications - able to manage creative teams and give strategic direction to advance brand position in the market
  • Strong persuasive skills; able to gain consensus through influence
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team
  • Organized with ability to prioritize and manage client expectations across multiple, competing projects/priorities with aggressive due dates and quick turn-around times
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing or Communications preferred)
  • 5 - 7+ years of experience
  • Travel up to 10% to attend industry conferences, internal meetings, and/or external educational sessions (While 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
