Electrical Estimator
Amentum is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for preparing man-hours and material cost estimates for the performance of operations, maintenance, repairs and renovations to commercial office buildings requiring the participation of single and multiple trades. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Primary responsibilities include estimating man-hours and material and convert to cost estimates. Will interface with customers, project managers, designers, and engineers.
Hours: 6am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 (five) years of hands-on electrical Journeyman level trade construction experience required with a sound working knowledge, skill, and ability to accomplish cost estimates for other trades, such as carpentry and mechanical
High school diploma or equivalent or completion of an apprenticeship program in the electrical trade
General knowledge and use of computer-based programs such as Maximo, RS Means/Sage-Timberline, MS Excel and MS Word
Must be able to read and decipher blueprints/drawings and perform take-offs off of them
Must be able to meet light physical demands and lift up to 20 pounds, reach, pull, stoop and bend
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience, knowledge, and use of an RS Means/Sage-Timberline computer-based program desired
Associates degree or a masters electrical license or certification equivalent preferred
