Job Summary
Amentum is looking for a motivated Shore-Based Test Facility Engineer in Indiana supporting an exciting new project at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.
We are pipelining candidates for a future role.
Specializing in Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), you will leverage instrumentation, measurement systems and data acquisition system to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the measurement systems of a large control and data acquisition system. You will work with installation and sustainment of sensors, signals, cabling, I/O devices, and Data Acquisition System hardware.
As a Shore-Based Test Facility Engineer, you will perform many daily activities, including:
- Working with test parameter inputs, manipulation, and troubleshooting end-to-end diagnostics on a Controls and Data Acquisition system to perform accurate, timely testing.
- Building test configurations, troubleshooting data acquisition channels, and collecting test data and post processing test data.
- Consulting manuals, reading, and interpreting circuit diagrams and schematics
- Repairing and adjusting system components.
- Calibrating instrumentation and measurement systems.
- Tracking inventory of instrumentation and hardware.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering within Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, and Engineering Technology, or related field and 3 years of professional/relevant experience OR Associates degree and at least 6 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
- 2 years in a test facility or test environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through professional experience.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance before hire.
- Approximately 10-20% domestic travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of measurement systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
- Direct experience troubleshooting measurement systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
- Direct experience calibrating instrumentation and measurement devices
- Direct experience with low voltage electrical systems
- Working knowledge with hand tools
