Come join the team that’s helping build the world's most dominant Navy! Amentum wants a mid-level System Security Engineer (SSE) with Experience, Passion, and Purpose to provide a wide variety of management support tasks for the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).

You’ll work side by side with your government counterparts to provide:

  • Requirements in concept development, support budget development, countermeasure development including hardware and software, baseline integration, testing, and V&V into surface ships.
  • Support Critical Program Information (CPI)
    assessment, program technologies to ascertain required level of protection and develop protection approach
  • Execute risk assessments and trade-off analysis for technical solution and best practice within program constraints
  • Provide detailed engineering analysis, implementation schedule, and recommendations
  • Evaluate technical briefs, review SSE documentation, including concepts, requirements, and implementation plans including testing and V&V activities
  • Support Systems Engineering (SE) processes and reviews to include drafting and staffing of systems engineering plans and support for technical review processes
  • Execute risk assessments and trade-off analysis for technical solution and best practice within program constraints
  • Support the development of System Engineering Plan (SEP)
  • Support the development of System Security (SS) Plans
  • Support the development of all applicable technical artifacts associated with SSE process at each development milestone
  • Provide SSE technical program management support to ensure integration of SS solution with baseline development including functional requirements definition; computer program upgrades; integration, test and evaluation of new
    computer programs; and V&V
  • Provide SSE program management support for SS acquisition activities. Assist with the preparation and reviews of technical artifacts, milestones, and deliverables for TPS input, including coordinating with filed activity, System Security
    authority stakeholders, and export authority stakeholders.
  • Documentation includes technical artifacts and Cost Estimate development
  • Provide long-range planning for SS capabilities and milestones to ensure all requirements are included, or planned to be included, in proposed baselines.
  • Develop recovery plans and communicate schedule impacts to ensure program milestones are completed and export requirement compliant

Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree, or a GED, and ten (10) years of relevant experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security (SS) with DoD major platforms OR
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of relevant experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security with DoD major platforms, OR
    Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security (SS) with DoD major platforms
  • Experience with hardware roll-out planning and execution
  • Experience with Organizational Management and Business Processes
  • Experience with implementing agile project management, with both hardware and software
  • Familiarity with Technical Implementation Guidance
  • Experience with Anti Tamper documentation development
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and adjudicating Attack Countermeasure Trees
  • Experience developing SS requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft software Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
  • Hold Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Position will require travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in DoD program management or engineering related field.
  • Experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security (SS) with DoD major platforms.
  • Experience in SSE and System Security including Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, protection solution development, integration, testing, V&V, and complete System Security life cycle.
  • Experience in developing System Security System Engineering Plan (SEP), System Security Plans (SSPs), technical artifacts, integrated fielding schedule.
  • Experience in supporting SSE activities as described in DoD Acquisition guidelines.
  • Experience in technical communication with senior level stakeholders, risk management, trade-off analysis, and developing path forward to support FMS export.
  • Expertise with Microsoft software Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
