We are now recruiting for a Project Controls Engineer to join us permanently on our major project located near Newbury.

Scope:

Support the PMO and assist the Project Controls Teams to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout this major programme and across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Programme Controls Manager and PMO Lead with Regular Project Controls Reporting activities
  • Assist in the regular drumbeat activities of the project/programme; gathering checking data ensuring that data is in the right places at the right time.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc management reports; including Programme level reports.
  • Integrate cost and schedule data and reporting with the company's accounting and management information systems.
  • Apply improvements and coordinate Project Dashboarding through validation
  • Review raw data that comes from project automated systems.
  • Assist in gathering and measurement of KPIs for the programme; learning how to assess
  • Validate, understand and eventually Develop Cost Forecasts tracking changes of scope to financial implication
  • Execute cost and change control protocols in accordance with project and company procedures.
  • performance of projects through use of earned value.
  • Review project change submissions and ensure compliance with EUP’s policies and procedures.
  • Gathering essential change board documentation assist with taking notes updating the log and tracking the actions.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Education/ Experience

  • Ideally degree qualified in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.
  • Pursuit of the CCC (Certified Cost Consultant), CCE (Certified Cost Engineer), ICC (Interim Cost Consultant), PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) or EVP (Earned Value Professional) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is encouraged
  • Proven experience with engineering, procurement and construction projects.
  • Ideally in Major Utilities or Construction sector exp (Adv: Nuclear sector)

Skills

  • Knowledgeable and experienced utilising and administering Primavera P6.
  • Expert knowledge using Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience utilising Cost Management Tools (Costpoint, SAP, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required

  • Project Controls methodologies
  • Earned Value Reporting
  • Change Management Skills
  • Solid and provable experience with cost, schedule and supervision responsibilities
  • Project lifecycle experience

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
