Amentum
Hardware Engineer
Amentum is seeking a Hardware Engineer III at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) Virginia to assist with systems and technical engineering services. This position is contingent on contract award.
Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.
Responsibilities:
- Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products.
- Develops test strategies, devices, and systems.
- Performs stress and performance tests on a variety of computer hardware including circuit boards, processors and wiring. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
- Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent andcollaborative in nature.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of computer system design, computer programming and database design.
- Four (4) to seven (7) years of related full-time professional experience working as a hardware engineer in at least one major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic system.
- In lieu of education, 8 years of experience is required.
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
