Do it here.What youll be doing...This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.The position will be responsible for performing device Inter-Operability Testing solution in the Device IOT lab. Primary focus of device IOT lab is to identify quality and inter-operability issues of pre-launch devices from all channels (Branded, Open Development/Machine-to-Machine, Enterprise, Wholesale and Telematics), when tested against Verizon Wireless network configuration and roaming scenarios. The IOT testing will also focus on supporting post-launch device issue reproduction and testing of Software Updates (SU). This is an individual team contributor position that will apply solid understanding of end-to-end wireless network architecture and device interaction scenarios, to create a best-in-class test environment to identify issues and solve problems.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe engineer shall provide execution and reporting associated with the testing of Femtocell device service and features, which will include the following tasks:+ VoLTE video, voice, data, and handoff test activities associated with new femto hardware and software releases, and network functionality on 4G and 5G Femtocell device units and core server software in a lab environment.The engineer shall also provide execution and reporting associated with the testing of device antenna performance, which will include the following task:+ Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS) and Total Radiated Power (TRP) test activities for new device/user equipment (UE) to be used on Verizon network.+ The engineer shall also perform testing of E911 and Voice over Wi-Fi features on new device/UE hardware or associated Software updates, to be used on Verizon network.+ The engineer shall work closely with peer automation developers and other teams to support an ongoing test automation effort, including developing and validating automation test scripts.The engineer shall perform testing involving the above in a lab environment.
