Amentum is actively seeking an ambitious, goal-oriented Electrical Engineer in the Englewood, CO office, with possible initial 3-to-12-month assignment at a project site. The Engineer will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.
Minimum Requirements- Required
- Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer License in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies.
- Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software.
- Experience with electrical one line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
- Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD.
- Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
- Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
- Position may require travel.
Preferred Requirements
- DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience
- Advanced level of experience in communications and security systems
- Experience in using BIM, Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD MEP and Elecdes
- Prefer candidate to be a sole US citizenship and not have Dual Citizenship.
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $125k - $202k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
