Amentum is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Lead Environmental Technician to be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA Office.

Job Description

In addition to the primary equipment operation duties, a Lead Technician will also be expected to provide limited supervisory duties of project crews, be willing and able to complete project related paperwork, perform general maintenance & repairs of company equipment, be a mentor to younger field staff, and understand and promote safety in accordance with company policies & procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • No clearance requirement but the contract and/or the site requires US Citizenship to be approved for access. (includes NACI / T1, MRPT, CAC):
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Position may require a thorough knowledge in the particular area of specialization plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines.
  • The selected individual must be able to work in protective clothing, including a respirator.
  • Proficient written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software application; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Assignments may include work on out-of-town projects that may require the individual to travel for extended periods (3-4 weeks) at a project site.
  • OSHA 40-Hour Training is required but not mandatory prior to hire. The company will provide training if necessary.
