Job Summary

The Engineering Systems Manager works closely with the Engineering Manager to enable and optimize the delivery of technical engineering services in support of operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems in Alice Springs. This position plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration and is a key integrator of the teams and technical disciplines within the Engineering functional area.

The Engineering Systems Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, training and management of systems, processes, procedures and tasks that facilitate and enhance efficient, effective and integrated service delivery across the Engineering Team. The Engineering Systems Manager provides a professional service in the communication and engagement of the stakeholders in the coordination of information, outcomes and requirements. The Engineering Systems Manager supports the achievement of corporate and program goals, participates in business development, and develops creative solutions to address complex client requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Lead, manage and oversee the development, implementation and improvement of appropriate and effective systems and processes in support of technical engineering service delivery.
  2. Support and manage the design and development of solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to extreme scope and complexity across the department.
  3. Fulfil key formal and informal coordination roles representing the Program at approval boards and authorities in the facilitation of integrated outcome delivery.
  4. Coordinate, facilitate and administer actions necessary to ensure the consistent and regular reporting of relevant engineering data and metrics.
  5. Manage the accuracy, control and update of information within assigned technical systems and databases.
  6. Support enable and assist leaders in the development, management and growth of teams across he department.
  7. Facilitate technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cycle management and costing.
  8. Facilitate the evaluation of operational systems, equipment, processes and infrastructure in support of general and targeted optimization and improvement initiatives.
  9. Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements
  10. Any other reasonable duties as requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in any relevant or related discipline
  • Drivers license
