Environmental Specialist
Amentum is searching for a full-time Environmental Specialist to work in our Morgantown office.
The following is a list of activities to be performed by the person in this
position.
Storm Water Program
- Maintain Permit
- Perform quarterly sampling and generate reports
- Assist in the updating of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
- Provide technical assistance
Wastewater Program
- Maintain Permit
- Coordinate quarterly sampling and generate reports
- Provide technical support including clarifier and neutralization systems
- Generate quarterly wastewater performance indicators
Non-Hazardous Waste Program
- Perform excess equipment inspections
- Perform scrap metal inspections
Hazardous Waste Program
- Assist with or support hazardous waste handling activities
- Sample waste for analysis
- Properly accumulate hazardous waste
- Maintain up-to-date waste inventories
- Assist in generating quarterly hazardous waste performance indicators
- Assist in preparing for hazardous waste shipments
- Assist with hazardous waste shipments
- Perform hazardous waste inspections
Other
- Perform ISO 14001/45001 audits
- Conduct SARS inspections
- Perform digging permit inspections
- Collect legionella samples
- Coordinate groundwater sampling and provide oversight
- Collect drinking water samples when requested
- Provide ASER input
Minimum Requirements
US citizenship required
Bachelor's degree in ES&H-related field, i.e., Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or other sciences. No position-related experience required. Related experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Must live within 30 minutes of site to allow for sampling events that are
weather dependent.
