Job Summary

Amentum is currently seeking a Windows System Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program for a major national laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team which provides the largest 3D printing capability in polymers in the organization. The team provides IT support services for various CAD applications along with CAD Hardware and Software management, and CAD library management.

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Provide users with interactive issue troubleshooting in a complex computing hardware and software environment.
  • Monitor user tickets through to resolution by other support teams and document resolutions in a knowledge base.
  • Work with application and system supporters to identify advanced solutions to user issues.
  • Perform computer builds, upgrades, maintenance, and diskless/disk full/VDI support.

Minimum Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required; must not possess dual citizenship with any other country other than the United States.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 10 years of experience.
  • Must currently hold a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.
  • Two or more years of experience in IT user support role.
  • Two or more years of experience with Windows machine builds.
  • Two or more years of experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting physical hardware, peripherals and attached computing devices.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills along with a strong customer service commitment.
  • Experience working with application vendors to understand, implement and maintain applications.
  • Familiar with information security best practices.
