Job Summary

Amentum is currently seeking a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team supporting Linux and Windows desktops and servers for a large organization within the classified lab space. This position may require occasional travel (average of once a year).

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Support Windows and Linux server and desktops for National Labs customer.
  • Perform Linux and Windows system administration.

Minimum Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required; must not possess dual citizenship with any other country other than the United States.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and 5 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience.
  • Must possess a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q clearance and maintain it for the life of the contract.
  • Windows system administration experience for at least 2 years.
  • Linux system administration experience for at least 2 years.
  • System Administration skills for Linux Server and Desktop Systems.
  • End-User Application Support.
  • System Setup.
  • Account Management.
  • File services.
  • Network Configuration.
  • Application Hosting.
  • Experience with Data Storage Systems (such as NetApp) and associated technologies: SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, Snapshots, Replication, etc.
  • Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior working experience with National Labs infrastructure.
  • Experience with quality assurance testing.
  • Experience in Virtual/Cloud Deployments.
  • Developing scripts for automating services tasks.
  • Server room management (e.g. - power, cooling, cabling, racking).
