Financial Data Analyst
Amentum is now hiring a Financial Data Analyst with experience providing budget/cost data analysis for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition activities. You will assist with a wide variety of business data analysis efforts, including the determination of analytical requirements, the collection/study of required data, and the development of graphs and charts to visual analysis results and recommendations. This position will be filled at an Army program office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Hybrid telework opportunities are available for those living in the area.
You are knowledgeable in the development of data metrics and analytical approaches required for the financial management of DoD programs and activities. You have a strong understanding of business data analysis and methodologies, including the ability to leverage business analytical tools like Power BI to successfully perform your job. You are highly skilled in both the analysis of data and the effective visualization of your aggregate findings. You're a self-starter who is very organized and capable of working well independently or as part of a team to accomplish a mission. Your understanding of business data analytics allows you to communication your findings to leadership, providing them critical information on business trends and predictions to ensure needed decisions are made for the financial planning and management of DoD programs and organizations.
Responsibilities:
Works directly with clients and project/business leaders to identify analytical requirements.
Analyzes financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data.
Compiles analytical financial reports for managers.
Develops graphs and charts through data aggregation or statistical analysis.

Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree, and at least 7 years of relevant experience providing financial analyst support to a DoD program/activity
Or a High school diploma/GED, and at least 11 years of overall work experience, of which 5 years or more must be relevant experience in providing financial analyst support to a DoD program/activity
Experience performing business data analytics using Power BI
Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and especially strong skills in Excel
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related sciences
Experience or familiarity with DoD Program Acquisition
