Job Summary

Amentum is currently seeking a Sr. System Administrator to support our Legacy Management Contract in Morgantown, WV.

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Managing Certificate services. Internal and External

• Managing Morning checks and any subsequent remediation.

• Monitoring the estate for issues and acting accordingly

• Working with vendors and their support representatives to resolve issues or hardware failures.

• Support enterprise programs and applications to include Windows Terminal Services and Remote Desktop, MS Cluster Services, McAfee ePO Server, Outlook, Internet Information Server, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, and various

scripting languages including PowerShell and VB Script

• Maintain, secure, patch, and deploy operating systems including but not limited to Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019, ESX v6.5 (minimum)

• Ability to follow documentation and processes.

• Ability to create and update documentation when necessary.

• Production of implementation and roll-out plans.

• Production of test plans and test procedures.

• Test execution of build to confirm fit for purpose.

• Handover/training of support staff post implementation.

What are the primary responsibilities and essential functions of this position?

Required experience and competencies:

• PKI and Certificate Experience

• Have a clear and logical approach to issue resolution and fault diagnosis.

• Excellent communications skills, organizational skills and independent and autonomous working

• Support and troubleshoot scripts written in Microsoft PowerShell

• Working with vCenter and ESXi 6.5 as a minimum

• Perform vCenter and ESXi Patching

• Excellent ability with Active Directory.

• An understanding of Storage technologies

• Perform Windows patching from WSUS.

• Experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines while handling multiple priorities

• People skills: able to motivate, influence and drive co-workers

• Provide up to date and accurate reporting to management and customer

• Demonstrable ability to adapt to new technologies, skill-sets and to learn quickly.

• The actual work you will perform consists of a blend of operational support alongside the specification and implementation of new network infrastructure as part of a large, diverse, skilled and collaborative team. Keeping an eye on the technology landscape is essential, too – identification of new and relevant technologies to solve problems and make improvements is part of the job.


Minimum Requirements
