Human Resource Specialist

Amentum is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resource Specialist that will support the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) with the provisioning of HR expertise, guidance and support to program staff, leadership and management.

The successful candidate will provide support on all areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support to PEO IWS in line with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for program staff and leadership. Manage the recruitment and selection process for assigned positions, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including interpretation of policies and procedures, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide guidance and support on performance management processes and assist in the development of individual development plans.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, performance bonus, and benefits administration.
  • Assist with the design, development and delivery of HR-related training programs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members on various projects and initiatives as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in related field. 10+ years of related professional experience In Lieu of degree, High School Degree and 16 years of related professional experience Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Security Clearance: The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security
